We are in a period where everything needs to thrive virtually. Being at home with 1 or multiple kids for any mom is A LOT. If you work, you are expected to still be productive while your children are home, and also be a teacher. If you solely homeschool, you’re still expected to teach, clean, cook, and the list goes on. Being a mom in 2020 has a whole new meaning.
I will be the first to tell you that I’m exhausted. I am up before the kids, and most nights hubbs and I are finally turning all the lights off after midnight. While I didn’t go to school to become a teacher, I’m now a full-time teacher. With that being said, I’ve taken the liberty to look for resources that my busy kids have used and they are absolutely mom approved. These woman/teachers/moms/educators have been a lifesaver for me as it relates to homeschool/virtual/distant learning help.
Before you throw in the towel, know that you are not alone and moms all over the world, are experiencing the same pressures of attempting to do it all. We are doing the very best that we can. We are amazing. Those little eyes are looking up to us everyday and see us as super heroes. Don’t you forget that.
Check out these Amazing Women making history with their passion for education whom have created various platforms to help students and moms with resources galore. I love their authenticity and energy as they teach and show their love for students learning. I wish you peace, joy, and love during this 2020 time of Virtual Learning. It’s only for a season and this too shall pass.

Miss D. Gunn: Let’s talk Math. Miss D. Gunn’s content aims to help parents and teachers of Elementary Students with Math. She offers videos (standard based lessons)which are great to be used to support children at home or intervention in the classroom. You will find yourself dancing with your child, all while learning.
Akwaaba Akademy: This creative mom, educator, and entrepreneur offers amazing fun and engaging activities with mostly items that you have in the house. With over 10 years of teaching, she demonstrates the fun in Sensory Bins to Turning your Toilet Paper into Fine Motor Activities, your littles won’t get bored.
In addition, here are some Educational Apps that I’ve used through the years as a reinforcement for both Chandler and Aspen. They like them and they are mom approved for keeping them motivated and engaged. Oh, and don’t forget those Blue Light Blocking Glasses for them. These are super cute and a steal.
