You better believe it’s important to take time out for yourself, girl. How can you take care of your little ones if you’re not “all the way together”? Well, at least in your headspace 🙂
Whether it is meditating or scheduling some time during the day (whenever it makes sense), you must take care of you. When was the last time you had a day of pampering (at home). For me, a morning or realistically, an hour of some pampering does my mind and body so good. I enjoy doing facial treatments with clean products. This can include a nice scrub and mask for your skin to get that amazing glow. It can also mean picking up a good book, writing down some personal goals, or hell, just taking a nice long bath with some candles and lock that door! (Side note: I found these bomb candles y’all — You’ve got to try them).
During these tough times we are facing today, it’s important to stay connected to God. Stay motivated and encouraged from friends, family, or even a self help book. I especially love a new read I found called, “Real Talk,” by Pray the Impossible.” I was never very religious or spiritual, but I often found myself praying to God when I was in need of something. (a promotion, a healing, a gift, you name it). This book put things in perspective for me. Do we pray for the impossible? Or do we only pray when we want something? That second question was me, mommas.
Now, I do my best to say Thank you. I fall short of doing it everyday, but when I look at my children, I realize how fortunate I am and can not take anything for granted today or any day. Let’s take care of ourselves momma.
