I’ll never forget the day my toddler asked to make a science explosion on a warm spring day and I was clueless. So if you know me, I immediately went to Google and Instagram to look for a Science teacher who had some cool science kits or even free instructions to make my weekend science projects fun and engaging. Mommas, I found an amazing Science Teacher Mom and I’m here to share all about her awesome Black-owned business for our science-loving kiddos.
Similar to That Mommy Joy, Science Teacher Mom, was initiated during the pandemic of 2020. It’s amazing how we as moms can create some invigorating products and services through a time of crisis. We are damn good superheroes in the flesh!
Science Teacher Mom began sending Earth Day Gifts to her nieces and nephews; attempting to keep them engaged, all while learning while schools were closed. Once her nieces and nephews loved the gifts, then come the sharing to friends and family. A simple post on social media created an influx of parents from all over wanting some of these awesome kits for their children while being at home.
As a result, Science Teacher Mom began making Science Boxes; shipping them directly to families near and far. Science Teacher Mom has grown since launching and includes packages, workshops, and lessons for families and schools on a monthly basis. Their mission is to not only encourage your future scientist, engineers, and thinkers but to empower children to be critical thinkers, continue to ask questions, and stay curious.
